Education
For whom?
For all interested parties from among owners, riders, breeders or other "laymen" or for those who are already professionals in the field of horses and large animals (trainers, therapists, veterinarians, farriers...).
What do we offer?
A complete and comprehensive education consisting of theoretical and practical modules, home self-study and practical supervisions or the opportunity to participate in individual courses/seminars/workshops. Our topics include:
- physiotherapy examination, basics of orthopedic and neurological examination of large animals
- soft and hard manual techniques for the treatment of large animals (horses, ruminants) based on the Dorn method, osteopathic and myofascial techniques
- procedures and techniques of exercise therapy (exercise) of horses, including exercises for proprioception, stabilization, activation and relaxation of tissues and organs of the musculoskeletal system
- anatomy, physiology and biomechanics
- pathology of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissues
- first aid (basic clinical examination, bandaging techniques, first aid in acute conditions, communication with veterinarians)
- communication with owners, advice on breeding, nutrition and healthy training
- development of a therapeutic plan, keeping records of examination and treatment of animals
- OHS and legal standards related to non-veterinary examination and treatment of large animals
What is the outcome of the completed education?
Our educational program prepares candidates to pass the state examination for the professional qualification of Large Animal Rehabilitation and Regeneration Worker (code 41-138-M), which is recognized throughout the EU (obtaining the so-called Europass) and entitles you as a self-employed person to professionally perform manual therapies for large animals and provide complete advice in the field.
Those who are not interested in taking the state exam can obtain certificates of completion of individual modules and their entry into the Education Index for possible future professional purposes. Without the exam, they can use their acquired knowledge and skills for the benefit of their animals.
