This year, the professional qualification exam for the reconditioning and regeneration of large animals (code 41-138-M) will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, in the building of the Lanškroun Secondary School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. The professional qualification of Large Animal Rehabilitation and Regeneration Worker was created to make therapeutic and massage practice accessible to those who are not veterinarians. The exam consists of a theoretical part (anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, legislative conditions, occupational safety, work with individual patient groups, communication and advice for owners, etc.) and a practical part (first aid, occupational safety, examination of the animal, determination of the appropriate therapy procedure, work plan for the client, etc.).
Anyone can apply for the exam, without restrictions or limitations on their completed education (it does not matter what techniques the candidate uses, the standard was created to help everyone who is interested in performing manual therapy on horses and other large/farm animals).
Successfully passing this exam entitles you to professionally provide reconditioning and regenerative care for large animals in the Czech Republic and the EU without having to have a veterinary education.
